Welcome to the 2005 First International Conference “Art, Sign and Sacrament”, and the Intensive Icon-writing Workshop* organized by “Tjaarke Maas Arts”, in collaboration with Cittadella Cristiana of Assisi (Italy) and “Prosopon” School of Iconology (USA).
The Conference will take place from 24 June to 2nd of July 2005 at the Cittadella Cristiana, Assisi.
Benvenuti alla prima conferenza internazionale 2005 “Arte, Segno e Sacramento”,e al corso intensivo di iconografia organizzato da “Tjaarke Maas Arts" in collaborazione con la Cittadella Cristiana di Assisi (Italia) e” Prosopon” Scuola di Iconologia (USA).
La conferenza sara` tenuta presso la Cittadella Cristiana, Assisi, dal 23 Giugno al 2 Luglio 2005.
Besides the introduction of the important theme of Art Sign and Sacrament and into the contemporary developments of the Iconography (the Sacred Images) the conference would attempt to initiate the dialogue between the artists (painters, poets, musicians etc) and the theologians, philosophers, anthropologists of various generations.
Oltre che introdurre il tema del Arte Segno e Sacramento e importanti sviluppi conteporanei nel campo dell’ Iconografia e dell’Imagine Sacra il convegno lancera` un invito al dialogo fra artisti (poeti, pittori, musicisti ecc) filosofi, teologi, e antropologi di differenti generazioni ecc
On the occasion of the conference there have been served a "panichida" - the memorial service for Tjaarke Maas, at the chapel of St Archangel Michael, in Assisi, and the memorial cross was elevated on the mount of Subasio. There during yet another memorial service the dove called "Tjaarke" , especially brought from the Nederlands was set free into the sorrounding forest.
